Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws Vis Moot Team qualified in the final round in The White & Case Vis Pre-Moot

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws Vis Moot Team qualified in the final round in on 3 March 2018.

The White & case Vis Pre-Moot is the UK’s leading preparatory competition for the prestigious Global Vis Moot rounds, which takes place each year in Hong Kong and Vienna.  

The members of the team are Luke Baxter, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLM student, Alex Cheah, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLB student, Bixin Chen, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLM student, Marc Leong, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLB student, Mikolaj Orzazewski, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLB student and Himanshu Setia, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLM student. Mikolaj won the best oralist prize and Marc won third place.

The team was coached by Sabina Adascalitei, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLM alumna, Michael Lee, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLM alumnus and Bertila Chow, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws LLB student.

Marc Leong said:

‘I would just like to express my gratitude for all the effort put in by the other members of the Vis team, and in particular the coaches for their guidance amidst their busy schedules.

I hope that we can continue this performance into the oral rounds in Vienna and Hong Kong!’

Mikolaj Orzazewski said:

It is a testament to the quality we aim to bring with us to Hong Kong and Vienna.’

Sabina Adascalitei said:

‘We are delighted about Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s success in the White & Case London Pre-Moot. The team’s hard work over the past six months has paid off and we are all very much looking forward to competing in Hong Kong and Vienna.’

This qualification represents a great success for our students and their coaches as the team will now proceed to compete in the Vis East competition in Hong Kong and the Vis Moot in Vienna.Â
