About the workshop

In the wake of the Law Commission’s recent opening of a consultation on Evidence in Sexual Offence Prosecutions, this joint workshop by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s Centre for Criminal Law and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Judicial Institute brings together leading experts with a diversity of experience and knowledge to share their insights on how juries respond to evidence in sexual offence prosecutions. Each speaker will present for 15 minutes and there will be time allocated for Q&A.

This workshop has been co-organised by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Centre for Criminal Law and the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Judicial Institute.

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Centre for Criminal Law aims to promote research and teaching at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø in criminal law subjects, namely substantive criminal law, criminal procedure and evidence, the criminal justice system, criminology and the philosophy and practice of punishment.
