Disability, Health and Wellbeing

At Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, there are a range of resources to support mental and physical wellbeing; as well as support for disabled staff and students.

Disability equality

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has provided information and guidance onÌýsupportingÌýstaff andÌýstudents with a disabilityÌý–ÌýincludingÌýhow to produceÌýaccessibleÌýonlineÌýcontent,Ìýlectures,ÌýeventsÌýand more.Ìý

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Student Support and Wellbeing offersÌýsupport forÌýstudents who areÌýdisabledÌýor have a long-term health condition.ÌýTheÌý, part of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Students’ Union,Ìýpromotes the interests and needs of students who identify as disabled, including those with learning difficulties, mental health issues or long-term illness.ÌýÌý

Health and wellbeingÌý

We aim to make Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws a safe and pleasant environment in which to study and work. The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Laws WellbeingÌýTeam run a range of events and initiatives, both online and in-person,Ìýto promote wellbeing among staff and PhD students.ÌýÌý

TheÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Student Support and WellbeingÌýteamÌýprovidesÌýa safe,ÌýconfidentialÌýand non-judgemental spaceÌýfor students to discuss any issues that may be affectingÌýtheirÌýability to study. Support services are free of charge and open to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students of all levels.ÌýÌý

WeÌýalsoÌýhave twoÌýStudent Advisers for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø LawsÌýwhose role is to provide wellbeing and pastoral care for ourÌýundergraduate students, especially in their transition into university.ÌýStudents can book 1:1ÌýappointmentsÌýand discussÌýany matters relating toÌýwellbeing and student experience.Ìý
