Student support

As a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø international foundation year student, you’ll have access to a variety of support. Find out more about the personal and academic assistance the UPC offers, as well as the wide range of central Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø services.

Personal Tutors

You'll have weekly one-to-one tutorials with your personal tutor. They’ll support you with academic and personal matters throughout the course.

UPC Student Mentors

You'll have your own student mentor who will be a former UPC student. They can support you with non-academic issues and help you settle into life at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø.

Health & Wellbeing

The UPC has its own dedicated health & wellbeing tutor to support you during your time on the course. You'll also have access to a wide range of central Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø services.

Scholarships

We offer a variety of scholarships, including: to the best performing student on each UPC pathway; students from forced-migration backgrounds; Brazilian students interested in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

Applying to undergraduate degrees (UCAS)

We'll support with your UCAS applications to undergraduate degree programmes. You'll receive personalised guidance from a dedicated education advisor.

Oxbridge preparation

Applications to Oxbridge (Oxford and Cambridge) are highly competitive and need early preparation. Find out what support we offer if you’re eligible to apply.

Law degree preparation (LNAT)

If you plan to study Law after the UPC, you’ll need to take the national admissions test for Law (LNAT). Find out how we prepare you for this exam.

Maths degree preparation (STEP)

Accommodation

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø accommodation team can assist you in finding suitable accommodation. They can also help you settle into your new home. UPC students are treated as undergraduates for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø accommodation.

Students' Union Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø offers a free, confidential and independent advice and support service. This covers academic issues, housing, employment, financial and other university-related matters.
