16 November 2011

In the week commencing 31st October, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) carried out a routine statutory Good Clinical Practice (GCP) inspection of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø.

The inspection, which focused on the clinical trials support and oversight systems that the Joint Research Office has in place for academic clinical trials sponsored by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, was a success. Whilst the inspectors' full report is awaited the feedback given by the MHRA throughout the inspection and at the closing meeting, is that were no 'critical' or 'major' findings.ÌýThe inspection has demonstrated that, through the JRO, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø has in place a good level of expertise for supporting clinical trials and robust systems for oversight of the trials portfolio.
