The LiGHT trial team, led by Professor Gus Gazzard and based at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Institute of Ophthalmology, have won an award from the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) for excellence in glaucoma care, following a nomination from a patient taking part in the trial.

The purpose of the LiGHT trial, which is now in the follow-up stage, is to compare the quality of life of patients who start treatment with medicines (eye-drops) to those who are first treated with selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), and then receive drops later as necessary.
