This project aims to unite UK researchers and practitioners to develop a Wellcome Trust research proposal focused on the relationship between mental health and greenspaces. This project explores how mental health facilities can leverage their surrounding environments to enhance recovery and well-being, while also creating good practice case studies for knowledge exchange among stakeholders. By conducting a collaborative workshop in May 2024, the team has created an evidence-based framework for connecting mental health services with local greenspaces, ultimately contributing to a grant submission by September 2024.

Outputs and Impact

  • The team has spent half of the funds on collaborator time and has utilized the remaining funds for a workshop in July 2024.Â
