The fifth annual seed funding call from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and Peking University (PKU) awarded seven joint projects up to £10,000 each
Following the fifth joint seed funding call from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and Peking University (PKU), seven collaborative projects led by academics from both institutions are set to launch.
Each of the projects received up to £10,000, with funds equally contributed by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and PKU.Â
The projects will strengthen links between Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and PKU, who last year awarded four projects funding under the same call. In addition, five Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students were awarded Yenching Academy of PKU scholarships last year.Â
One of this year's funding recipients, Dr Quichen Lu, said: "It is my great honor to receive the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø-PKU Strategic Partner Fund. This project aims at starting a new collaboration between Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø and Peking University (PKU) in the area of sustainable cities. Specifically, we propose a pilot study to investigate scenarios of mobility and anthropogenic emissions to enable more sustainable cities in the post-pandemic era. Thanks to this funding opportunity, our research group has great opportunities to work with PKU and develop the city-level research jointly."
