When will the summer school be held?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the July 2024 programme will is no longer going ahead as planned. Further details will be posted here in due course.

What is the format of the summer school this year?

The Summer School will be held face to face on campus at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø in central London. The Summer School is non-residential and participants will need to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Prospective participants are advised to take out necessary insurance to cover their travel and accommodation costs.

Who is the summer school designed for?

The summer school is designed for everyone who wants to learn more about the social determinants of health, including for example, those who work in local government in the field of public health and who want to refresh their knowledge of population health, and those who are considering a career in public health or related research such as social epidemiology and health policy (national and global). Our course is multi-disciplinary. There will be an opportunities to network with other participants prior to the start of the summer school, details of this will be made available once payment is received.Ìý

Where will the summer school be held?

The majority of the summer school faculty are based at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø.ÌýThe summer school will be based at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s central London Bloomsbury Campus.

Is there a timetable for the summer school?

A timetable for the summer school sessions will be released to participants at least one week in advance of the event. Core sessions are expected to mainly run Monday to Friday within the hours of 9am – 6pm (BST).Ìý
