Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Culture manages three public museums: the Grant Museum of Zoology, Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Art Museum, plus the Pathology Collections and the Science Collections. Together with the Bloomsbury Theatre and the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Engagement team, we function as a conduit for the University, enabling students, staff and researchers to share their work with the public, and allowing the public to experience university life.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Culture manages collections in order to support the University’s teaching, research and public engagement. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Culture staff collaborates with individual researchers and larger departments to run exhibitions and events where objects from the collections are displayed for research, education and inspiration.

The Collections Management team manage and care for these collections and work to develop, store, and preserve the collections while also ensuring the long-term safety and sustainability of the cultural objects.

Borrowing Objects for research, teaching and exhibitions

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Culture welcomes requests to borrow items from its collections if this will increase access and understanding of them.

We receive requests for the loan of items for public exhibition, for research and for teaching. Because the circumstances of these loans are different, our conditions also differ slightly. Please refer to our policy and standard loan conditions.
