Seven undergraduates on Year In Industry in 2020

We are pleased to announce this year seven students are completing their Year in Industry placement with partner companies: Pall Biotech, Roche Diagnostics, Oxford Biomedica, UCB, Sartorius and Eli Lilly Ireland.

The Engineering (Biochemical) MEng programme has the option of students spending their final year working with a company.
鈥淚鈥檓 taking part in various projects focusing on Cell and Gene therapy. Currently I鈥檓 working on the manufacturing of AAV's.鈥�

鈥淒uring the placement, I鈥檒l be working on a project within the Process Research and Development department to optimise the upstream process of lentiviral vector manufacturing for gene therapy.鈥�
Danyal Rahim, Oxford Biomedica
鈥淚鈥檓 working in the CPS R&D department in the Roche Diagnostic Division. For the placement year I will be mainly working with Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) based biosensors as an inherent method of antibody screening and characterisation.鈥�
