The Bartlett launches seven new innovative programmes in 2023

The Bartlett launches seven distinct new degree programmes across the Bloomsbury and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø East campuses.

Seven new Bartlett degree programmes are open for applications, with their first student cohorts joining The Bartlett in September 2023. Offering distinct specialisms in response to some of the world's most pressing issues, these innovative new degrees are united by the radical spirit of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø. Many of them will be based at the new Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø East campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which marks the biggest development in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø’s nearly 200-year history.

Undergraduate

Construction Project Management MSci, offered by The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, is the first integrated master’s programme in construction project management in the UK. It gives undergraduate students access to the department’s award-winning MSc curriculum as part of their MSci degrees.

It is the first of its kind to bring together the three primary aspects of sustainability: social, economic and environmental.

Graduate

Cinematic and Videogame Architecture MArch from The Bartlett School of Architecture offers students a unique opportunity to design at the convergence of architecture, film and videogames to develop radical new time-based, immersive and interactive design projects. The programme prepares students for the emerging futures of architectural design, developing skills also applicable to the film and game industries, and VR/AR environments.

Prosperity, People and Planet MSc offered by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Institute for Global Prosperity will equip the next generation of change-makers with the knowledge and skills to create sustainable prosperity for humanity and the rest of nature. At the core of the degree is the idea of natural prosperity – based on the premise that a well-functioning, healthy natural world lies at the heart of global and local prosperity, inclusive economies and societies.

Business and Sustainability MSc offered by The Bartlett School of Sustainable Resources explores how businesses can turn sustainability challenges into new opportunities and avenues for growth. Students will participate in research-led, applied teaching on sustainability science, policy and business practice, empowering them to be sustainability leaders making informed decisions and taking responsible actions for people, planet and profit, now and in the future.

Major Infrastructure Delivery MBA, offered by The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, is the first MBA from The Bartlett, offering an exciting opportunity for a new cohort of global executives.Ìý Major infrastructure projects are high profile and critical to the economy, and leadership is essential to navigate project delivery. This course is designed to equip senior professionals with innovative management and leadership practices to successfully deliver major infrastructure projects.

The Bartlett at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø East

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Students in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park offers exciting new degrees and the scale and space needed to tackle the biggest challenges facing the planet. It’s the next chapter in our disruptive thinking and the biggest development in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø's nearly 200-year history.

The Bartlett is one of nine Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø faculties to deliver nearly 60 new postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø East. Innovation and collaboration are designed in, with students and staff working in shared environments and learning by doing, whatever their individual specialism.

All courses at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø East are either cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary, designed by academics from different departments, together with industry, partners andÌýpractitioners. Many of these courses are set to be among the first of their kind in the world giving our studentsÌýa unique learning experience.

The Bartlett programmes based here are Cinematic and Videogame Architecture MArch, Business and Sustainability MSc, Major Infrastructure Delivery MBA, andÌýProsperity, People and Planet MSc.ÌýThese programmes join The Bartlett’sÌýConnected Environments MScÌýandÌýGlobal Urbanism MASc, which launched at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø East in Autumn 2022.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø is the first of five world leading organisations to open a new base on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as part of theÌý, London’s new culture, innovation and learning quarter, backed by the Mayor of London, that will bring an estimated 2,500 jobs, 10,000 students and £1.5 billion in economic benefits to the area as part of the legacy of London 2012.
