Discover how local chapters of a global story are being brought together to shine a light on the diverse impacts of climate change on cultural monuments. For over four years, international organisations and local communities have completed on-site assessment, documentation and public awareness campaigns to help find solutions and adaptation strategies to one of the greatest challenges of this century and beyond.

About the Speaker

Chance Coughenour

Program Manager at Google Arts & Culture

Chance Coughenour is an American digital archaeologist and head of preservation at . With a background in history, archaeology, computer engineering, and 3D mapping, his work is dedicated to digitally preserving and democratising access to cultural heritage. He leads these efforts globally with cultural institutions to help promote our shared past by leveraging Google’s technology ranging from machine learning to interactive visualisations & educational storytelling.
