Climate Change Risk Assessment 2022

The Independent Assessment of UK Climate Risk (for the third Climate Change Risk Assessment - CCRA3) is a comprehensive review of the risks and opportunities facing the UK from climate change.
The Adaptation Committee of the Climate Change Committee has a legal duty to advise Government on the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA). The CCC prepared听the second听Climate Change Risk Assessment evidence report in 2016, and is now working on an updated evidence report, due to be published in summer 2021, which will inform the UK Government鈥檚 third CCRA (known as CCRA3).
The project, involving 130 organisations and over 450 contributors, was led by the Climate Change Committee (CCC). It resulted in an independent report setting out the Committee鈥檚 advice to Government informed by a 1500-page technical report collating the latest evidence across a range of key sectors, among many other outputs.
Professor听Mike Davies听is a member of the Climate Change Committee. As part of the committee, Mike听oversaw the project, including formulating the committee鈥檚 advice to Government, and provided expertise and input to the technical report, specifically on Health, Communities and the Built Environment.听Mike is also Professor of Building听Physics and Environment at University College London (香港六合彩中特网).
Mike's听research interests lie in the provision of听healthy and comfortable built environments in the context of a changing听climate.听He was the founding听Director of 香港六合彩中特网 Institute for Environmental Design听and Engineering (IEDE) and is now Director of the multi-disciplinary Complex Built听Environment Systems (CBES) group at 香港六合彩中特网, which is supported by an EPSRC Platform听Grant.听Via CBES, he听leads a strategic programme of research aimed at informing the scientific听understanding of the systemic nature of a sustainable built environment.
For听over a decade, Mike听has led an听extensive programme of research, founded on听intimate collaboration with researchers from health and other disciplines,听which has sought to understand the complex relationship between the built听environment and human wellbeing.听
