Applications open for PhD studentships at The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources

Applications are now open for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø ESPRC DTP's 2024-25 studentships, spanning Energy, Environmental Design and Engineering, Heritage, and Sustainable Resources.

Applications are now open for 70 fully-funded studentships to be awarded by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø ESPRC DTP for students studying for four years onÌý PhD (including EngD) courses at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø. The proposed studentships spannÌýEnergy, Environmental Design and Engineering, Heritage, and Sustainable Resources.ÌýThese studentships give you the opportunity to work with an industrial partner, undertake at least 3-months placement(s) at the partner's premises, and be allocated an industrial supervisor.

The EPSRC DTP studentships offer a stipend for living costs (at least £21,622 in 2023-24), full fees and a research support grant of up to £4,800. Studentships are open to both Home and International fee status students, however EPSRC caps the number of International students at 30% so a maximum of 21 International students can be recruited and competition for these places will be particularly strong.Ìý

Please note:ÌýWhere unavoidable, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø EPSRC DTP reserves the right to withdraw projects from the catalogue before or after the application deadline of 08 January 2024. Candidates who have applied to a project that has been withdrawn will be informed as soon as possible. These projects proposedÌýby The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources are part ofÌýa Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø-wide competition for approximately 70 studentships that will be awarded across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø as part of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø EPSRC DTP.ÌýThe 70 successful proposals will be chosen following applicant interviews. Furthermore, studentships are expected to start on 1 October 2024 unless exceptional circumstances require an alternate start date, including, but not limited to, disability and caring responsibilities.
