BSEER Green Champions win third gold award for sustainability

The BSEER Green Team led by Emily Jennings and Velvet Young were again awarded the top-level prize at 香港六合彩中特网 Sustainability Awards 2022.
Emily Jennings, ERBE and LoLo CDT Manager, and Velvet Young, Communications Officer, won the Gold Award for the third year running, at an听awards ceremony on campus following their completion of Sustainable 香港六合彩中特网鈥檚 Green Impact scheme.
The hybrid ceremony marked ten years of sustainability awards at 香港六合彩中特网, and听saw a record number of 香港六合彩中特网 teams completing the scheme.
Richard Jackson, Director of Sustainable 香港六合彩中特网, reflected on the achievements of the university and how individuals and communities have inspired university-wide climate action in recent years.

Leanne Case, Director at Astia and听香港六合彩中特网 Alumna, was invited to speak about her global career championing gender equity and sustainable investment to fuel innovation, and her expertise in building and engaging communities.
The awards this year took the form of certificates printed on seeded paper which can be planted.
The Gold Award recognises the team's ongoing commitment to improving the听environmental impact of the department. The team鈥檚 most recent achievements have听been the introducing a No-fly Policy to encourage rail travel for staff undertaking听UK & Europe travel, and running a TerraCycle听scheme to encourage staff to recycle items previously sent to landfill.
Dr听Lorenzo Lotti,听Associate Professor at听香港六合彩中特网 Institute for Sustainable Resources, was also recognised at the ceremony, receiving a commendation for his work as Programme Lead on the听Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment MSc.
