Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Energy Institute are looking for a Research Fellow in Urban energy modelling and thermal comfort.

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Energy Institute delivers world-leading learning, research and policy support on the challenges of climate change and energy security. We are seeking a Research Fellow to join the Building Stock Laboratory in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Energy Institute to work on the development of models and interfaces that enable interaction with these models of urban environments in the UK and other countries.

We are seeking a Research Fellow to support a project which aims to contribute to inclusive decision making towards dignified housing and habitat by developing tools that can inform better energy planning.

This post is available from 1 December 2021 and is funded for 12 months in the first instance, further funding to support the post may be available.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate is confident working with diverse stakeholders in dispersed settings and has a strong interest in energy modelling and thermal comfort. The focus of this post is to understand the experiences and energy practices of inhabitants of human settlements in the Lima and Ahmedabad and to translate these into analytical and modelling approaches to predict energy demand.
