, Lecturer in Energy and Social Sciences at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Energy Institute, has been appointed as an external member on the Department for Energy and Climate Change's Smarter Heating Controls Research Program Steering Group.

The aims of the research program will be to:

  • Establish if improving heating controls reduces the energy consumed by householders and why they do (or don’t);
  • Drive technological innovation towards maximising energy savings;
  • Facilitate a holistic and integrated approach to overall energy reduction in buildings; and
  • Identify potential adoption paths.
