Louise Martin on Visiting Fellowship in Jordan

Louise Martin (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Institute of Archaeology) has been awarded funding from the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL) for a Residential Fellowship in Jordan.

Louise Martin'sÌýResidential Fellowship in Jordan will run from April-July 2023, allowing her to undertake research onÌýPeople & Animals in the Jordanian Badia, past and present.Ìý

While basedÌýat the, Louise willÌýgive aÌýresearch presentation on Issues in Neolithic Pastoralism in Jordan’s Badia and lead aÌýZooarchaeology workshopÌýfor students/professionals in Jordan, facilitated by use of theÌýCBRL Animal Bone Reference Collection as a core training resource.

Louise will alsoÌýpartner with colleagues at Shaumari Wildlife Reserve to develop educational activities and displays.

The Ìýis a learned society working to advance public education on the Levant (Jordan, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus) through promoting and disseminating research in the humanities, social sciences and related subjects.Ìý
