We are very proud that in 2016 a total of seven 香港六合彩中特网 academics were elected as fellows of two prestigious national academies, and all of them are women.
香港六合彩中特网 was the first university in the UK to admit women on equal terms with men and we remain committed to promoting gender equality in academia, where there are still few women in the very top jobs.
(From left to right)听In recognition of their outstanding research in the humanities and social sciences, Professor Robyn Carston (香港六合彩中特网 Linguistics), Professor Susanne Kuechler (香港六合彩中特网 Anthropology), Professor Nilli Lavie (香港六合彩中特网 Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience) and Professor Sophie Scott (香港六合彩中特网 Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience) were elected as Fellows of the British Academy.
And in recognition of their outstanding contribution to science,听Professor Eleanor Maguire听(香港六合彩中特网 Institute of Neurology),听Professor Polina Bayvel听(香港六合彩中特网听Electronic & Electrical Engineering) and听Professor Maria Fitzgerald听(香港六合彩中特网听Neurology, Physiology & Pharmacology) were elected as Fellows of the Royal Society.
