Every year 100 new students are recruited to join the programme in November at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Gower Street. Most participants are registered for free school meals and are from families with no history of higher education. They take a series of five week courses in Sciences and Humanities, for example a Drama course on a Shakespeare play, making documentary films about university life, learning about zoology at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Grant Museum or learning to manipulate statistics - many sessions are taught by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø staff.

Participants are mentored and supported throughout the year by a team of trained Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø undergraduate ambassadors. This year, some Year 12 students will join the programme for work experience placements, supporting the younger students. The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Outreach team are always keen to hear from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø staff and students who want to get more involved in our schools programmes, and we have both paid and volunteering opportunities.
