Westwood House and Park near Southampton. 'In 1826 it was acquired by G. A. Fullerton who bought more land on the Portswood side of the estate, extending it to about 44 acres. The estate, sometimes referred to as Westwood Park, extended between modern-day Winn and Westwood Roads and from the Avenue about half way to Portswood Road.'

Jamaican-born widow of a prominent slave-owner; resident in Britain following the death of her husband in 1818. Accused - and acquitted - of the cruel treatment of some enslaved people whom she brought to Britain with her.
