Resident slave-owner. Will of Mary Barrett widow of Bow Wood St Vincent proved 27/11/1850. Under the will she left her land at Bow Wood to her nephew William Gordon Shiell of Montserrat, on condition that he allot 拢15 p.a. to the support of 'my adopted child Mary Ann (the supposed natural offspring of my nephew Bernard Gordon Robinson)' until she was 16, with 拢100 to her on her marriage. Other property, including that inherited from her sister Harriett Gordon, was left to her niece Marianne Robinson.
