1. In 1851 Ann Longman, head, 'Government annuity' aged 67 and her sister Eleanor Thompson aged 66 both born Jamaica were living at 15 Hereford Road Paddington. In the will of Ann Longman widow formerly of Chester Place Kennington Cross but now of Dorset Place North Clapham Road Surrey, proved 15/03/1854, her sister is identified as Eleanor Jane Thompson. Eleanor Jane Thompson widow formerly of 13 Wimbledon Park Road Wandsworth but late of Amesbury Villa Clapham died aged 89 23/12/1873 and whose will was proved 22/01/1874 by William Smith of Woodfield Hatfield the nephew, effects under £7000 resworn March 1874 at £8000.

2. The fact that Eleanor Jane Thompson and Eleanor Jane Woods are the same person is confirmed by the slave register of 1826 in Manchester where Eleanor Jane Thompson registered enslaved people previously registered in St Andrew by Robert Smith as factor to Eleanor Jane Woods now Eleanor Jane Thompson.
