William Knowlton

Biography

William Knowlton of St Clement Danes gentleman was was among a group of individuals purchasing, for a total of 拢15,000, annuities from John Mills secured on the latter's estates and enslaved people on Nevis in 1774, when for 拢450 he purchased an annuity of 拢50 p.a. on his own life. No PCC will has been found for him: he was conceivably the William Knowlton of Little Titchfield Street whose will was proved in the London Court inn 1809.
