Biography

Resident slave-owner of Jamaica. dying there in 1776.

  1. Talbot O'Brien contributed 拢18 to the University of Pennsylvania following Dr John Morgan's fundraising tour of the West Indies in 1772-1773.

  3. Talbot Obrian of St David, Esquire. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1777. Slave-ownership at probate: 111 of whom 56 were listed as male and 55 as female. 25 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: 拢12308.36 Jamaican currency of which 拢7610 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included 拢0 currency cash, 拢1287.29 currency debts and 拢0 currency plate.
