Dr Mitchell Robertson, Lecturer in US History, was on BBC News this afternoon with Lucy Atkins to discuss the upcoming US Presidential debate, slated to be held on 27 June 2024. In his appearance, he spoke about how the changed rules for this debate demonstrate a return to the original vision of presidential debates, as seen in 1960, as well as how one moment can frame the entire memory of a presidential debate, such as President George H. W. Bush looking at his watch during the 1992 town hall debate.
