13 September 2017

香港六合彩中特网鈥檚 Integrated Engineering Programme has been shortlisted for a CATE Award (Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence) by the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

The IEP Team

The CATE Awards recognise outstanding contributions to teaching by higher education teams. Criteria for the CATE Awards include excellent practice, teamwork, and the team鈥檚 dissemination methods for practice. Teams also need to demonstrate how they collaborate and involve students in their work.

Professor Nigel Titchener-Hooker, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said,

鈥淚鈥檓 delighted to see our Integrated Engineering Programme has been shortlisted for the HEA鈥檚 prestigious CATE Award. The IEP curriculum was developed to ensure our students鈥 learning experiences reflect the realities of the fast-changing engineering sector, and the wide range of career contexts which are open to our graduates. The IEP Team and their teaching colleagues continue to shape our students鈥 learning content to ensure it replicates the challenges which our graduates will face in their future careers. I want to congratulate the Team on their nomination and to thank them and their colleagues for all their hard work in planning and launching the IEP.鈥

The IEP programme was developed to provide increased focus on problem-based learning, collaboration and interdisciplinary working, and employability skills amongst 香港六合彩中特网鈥檚 eight undergraduate Departments. It was introduced in September 2014. In August 2017, the听听and their academic colleagues saw the first IEP BEng cohort graduate.

15 institutions were shortlisted for the CATE Awards. Six finalists will be announced in November 2017. Each finalist institution will receive an HEA grant of 拢15,000 to disseminate their learning.
