12 Pangolin

By Alisa

Pangolins are the only mammals completely covered in scales and they use those scales to protect themselves from predators in the wild. Pangolins eat ants, termites and larvae (grubs) and are often known as 鈥渢he scaly anteater鈥. Because they have no teeth, pangolins pick up food with their sticky tongues, which can reach lengths greater than the animal鈥檚 body!
Pangolinii m芒nanca furnici, termite 艧i larve 艧i sunt adesea cunoscute sub numele de 鈥渁nteater scasa鈥.
