Meet the Director's Office

Karen Barnard, Director

Karen has been Director of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Careers since 2004. She has overall responsibility for the strategic development of employability education across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø, supporting all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students, postdoctoral staff and recent graduates. Karen is also a member of the senior management team of The Careers Group, University of London, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø Careers’ parent body.

Previously, Karen taught physics in the UK and South America. Karen was instrumental in setting up and becoming Head of the first secondary school in Bogota, Colombia to offer the full British curriculum to expatriate and local students.

Katy Coyte, Data Analyst

Katy provides data services and is a specialist in employability data for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø. She is responsible for analysing and reporting on Careers data sets, and coordinates the Graduate Outcomes survey. She also produces dashboards to support effective decision-making and promote understanding of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊÖÐÌØÍø students, and advises on data protection.

She has degrees in English Literature and Language from University of Hull and Data Science from Birkbeck College, University of London.
