For the last month we’ve had PhD student Cristina Crizbăşan from the University of Exeter working with us at our Portslade office.

Cristina is undertaking her doctoral research on the influence of the Roman auxiliary troops on provincial societies in Dacia and Britannia by looking at pottery assemblages.

This month, she has been learning how to record and quantify Roman pottery in line with professional standards with our Roman pottery specialist Anna Doherty.

We’ve loved having Cristina with us and wish her luck in her research!
